About Air Koryo
Air Koryo is the state-owned national flag carrier airline of North Korea, which was founded in 1950 as Sokao and started operating as Chosonminhang Korean Airways from 1954. The airline got its present name in 1992 and currently operates international scheduled and charter services to 23 destinations in Asia and Europe from its hub, Pyongyang Sunan International Airport. It is headquartered in Pyongyang, North Korea and enjoys a fleet size of 19 aircrafts. Air Koryo operates charter services between North Korea and South Korea. It also played a vital role during the Asian games and carried passengers from Seoul to different corners of the world and vice-versa.
